The great increase of business in the California Glass Insulator company has taxed the capacity of the plant so heavily as to make requisite the installation of additional machinery and equipment to meet the demand and fill present iorders.

Arthur G. Munn, president of the company, said they were preparing to manufacture on a large scale the new Bloom fruit and milk jar.

He said the domestic and Oriental shipments of glass insulators has kept the factory running night and day and now that 25,000 miles of railroad is to be undertaken in China paralleled with telegraph equipment a phenomenal field has opened up for the production of insulators alone.

Mr. Munn added that as soon as the new machinery was installed for the Bloom jars it will necessarily entail an increase in mechanical force and a substantially large payroll.

The factory has grown rapidly and has been so successful that attention has been directed to the great possibilities and scope of manufacturing in Southern California.

"It is inconceivable,” says Mr. Munn, "the impetus that must come from the entry of foreign shipping seeking and demanding commodities for return voyage. The phenomenal growth in other lines in this section that has startled the world will be paralleled and excelled by the manufacturing industries that will take root here."
