California Glass Insulator Co. signs contract to supply China with 1,000,000 insulators

BIG CONTRACT

A Long Beach establishment has just large closed a very large contract with the Chinese government. The firm is the Southern California Glass Insulator company, located on West Anaheim road, and the order received from the federal government of China is for 1,000,000 insulators, all of the same pattern, which will be used on the govern­ment owned telegraph system.

To fill this special order the glass insulator company will work an extra night shift. This extra shift will be put on tonight, and the work will continue nightly from now on for about a month, filling the big order. The contact was secured through the offices of the Dollar Steamship company, which is the local firm's representative in the Orient.

Officers of the insulator manufacturing company have been given a contract to supply the Pacific States Electric company with its regular output of insulators for the next five years. The Pacific States Electric company's head office is in San Francisco and it has stores in large cities and nearly all parts of the United States. Arthur G. Munn, president of the glass company, signed the contract with the Electric company. Mr. Munn makes his headquarters at the glass company's Los Angeles office. Robert P. Frist is the company's manager.
