W. Paul Zimmerman, above, widely known Muncie man, has been elevated to the position of general manager of the Industrial and Structural Products Division of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company, it was an­nounced yesterday through the of­fice of Harold Boeschenstein, vice-president and general manager of Owens-Illinois.

Mr. Zimmerman leaves the position of factory manager of the same di­vision. which includes factories in Newark, O., and Muncie. He will as­sume his new duties January 1, and his offices will be located in Toledo, although he plans to reside in Mun­cie for an indefinite period.

Before being given his present po­sition. Mr. Zimmerman was manager of the Hemingray division of Owens-Illinois and served several years as an officer of the Hemingray Company before it passed to Owens-Illinois management.

The Muncie plant manufacturers glass building blocks, insulators, and pressed glassware. The Newark fac­tory manufacturers all types of fibre glass and glass insulation.
