MUNCIE, IND.

By J. W. Claspell.

Having left the trade for the time being, I am not very well posted on conditions at the Hemingray Co.'s plant. There is no doubt that the fire will be out when this article is read.

Small help is a serious problem at this time. Most of the small help consists of green schoolboys who want to work during their vacation. Many of the brothers are losing considerable ware on this account and are very much discouraged as well as disgusted.

The new producer house, which is being built of brick, is near completion.

Brothers Charles McCarthy and Cyrus Herron, who were our delegates, are back on the job again; the former is carrying a pretty sore wrist.

Brother Fred Giltner is still on the sick list.

Brother Joseph Love is still the champion fisherman of Local Union No. 23. Brother James Arnold is a close second, however.

Brother Wm. Bird is the champion hog and corn raiser.

Brother Joseph Elliott is the biggest salve spreader.
