ADDING TO CITY’S INDUSTRIES

On the first of this month a new industry was added to Long Beach’s growing array of manu­facturing plants. The California Glass Insulator Company has begun operations in the industrial district. This concern promises to develop rapidly and become an important industry. Long Beach is destined to become a manufacturing center of first magnitude. The way is being pioneered. There are several thriving plants in the industrial district. More will come. And the more that come, the swifter will be the coming of them. The increase in the number of industries will be cumulative. The advantages are here. When manufactories demonstrate, by successful opera­tion here, that these advantages exist, other plants will come trooping along, in gratifying numbers to locate here.
