The Covington Bar.

The Kentuckian appends the following to our notice of the Covington Bar:

In the above list our neighbor has omitted, though doubtless without latcation on his part, the names of John D. McGill and Joel A. Levi among the venerab'e and E. H. Phelps, H. C. Timberlake, and B. P. Hereford, among the junior members of the Covington bar — all of whom deserve honorably mention in a list of the legal profession in this city. We insert their names therefore in amendment to our neighbor's article of Saturday last, and hope he will accept of the same in his next issue.

We cheerfully accept the amendment. Fortunately, as we suppose, we have had very little to do with the law. Indeed we have not often found time to visit the court room. Once or twice during the progress of the Fortmen case we happened to be present, and the list was made up of the names of the lawyers we recollected to have seen on those occasions. If we had undertaken to make a complete list of the members of the bar we would have been without excuse for omitting the names of the gentlemen mentioned by the Kentuckian, as also those of others not mentioned by that paper — A. D. MEDEIRA, THOS. N. ARNOLD, AND V. T. CHAMBERS, most estimable young gentlemen and rising members of the profession.
