William Brookfield denies purchasing the Bridgeton Glassworks

PHILADELPHIA, May 8. — William Brookfield, when seen at the Bellevue Hotel tonight regarding the report that he has bought the Bridgton, N.J., glass works, said the matter had been exaggerated.

"I looked over the plan of the Bridgeton Glass Manufacturing Company to-day," he said, "and secured a thirty days' option upon it, but there has been no purchase. It is a small plant."
