LOCAL NEWS.

MARY CROSS, the vicious negro who attempted the life of Mr. Ralph [sic] Robert Hemingray, for which she served two years in jail, and was re-committed for still threatening his and his family's lives, was released last night upon her promise to go to Philadelphia and not return.
