Electric Porcelain Merger.

There appears to be some misunderstanding regarding a news item recently out from East Liverpool concerning the merger of electric porcelain companies. The merger was effected in a tentative way something over a year ago, and was recently made permanent when the stockholders elected a full board of directors and the directors effected their organization. The impression had gone abroad that the combination of interests included the general ware or tableware potteries, but this was an error. The companies in the organization are engaged in the manufacture of electrical porcelains, the branch of the potting industry, if such it can be called, which deals with insulators and such articles made from clay as may be uused in electric wiring, not only of individual lights but of entire systems and buildings.
