The Western Glass Mfg. Co. of Denver, Col., resumed operations last week for the blast of 1908-9, but, contrary to expectations, only union men were given employment. When the works closed down last season it became generally known that an effort would be made to reorganize the working force with non-union men and a full corps of glass blowers were secured from the East and were ready to go to work. Now it is announced that the matters in dispute have been settled by conference between officials of the Glass Bottle Blowers Association and the officers of the glass company.
