"Going Away." — We understand that Mr. Hemingray, the recent anti-"Mormon" lobby delegate to Washington, feels greatly chop-fallen over the signal and complete defeat he sustained in that capacity. The result to him personally is that he is out of pocket, out of spirits and out of business. This is a sorry plight, certainly, and the party who used him as a tool for the accomplishment of their purposes now slightingly throw him into the figurative waste-basket, with as much indifference as an editor would place a piece of rejected manuscript. Under the circumstances Mr. H. has concluded that Salt Lake City is no place for him, has, we are informed, made up his mind to leave for other pastures, and with that view is selling out his goods and chattels. We have no word of reproach for Mr. Hemingray, further than that, in undertaking to do the base work of an unscrupulous clique he made a grave mistake. As he is about to leave we say to him, "go in peace and sin no more."
