Scott - Bascom Wedding.

Trinity Church, Covington, was very pretty in bridal decorations of green and white yesterday afternoon and crowded with Covington's most prominent society people, with many from Cincinnati and Newport. There was just such a jam as a popular girl like Emily Bascom would have at her wedding. The ushers were Mr. Jerry Kirtley, Mr. Harry Air, Mr. Scarborough, Mr. Hugh Colville, Mr. Arthur Ashbrook, and Mr. McClean, As the chimes merrily rang out five Rev. Mr. Noland stepped to the chancel rail. The ushers came slowly up the aisle, first Mr. Air and Mr. Scarborough, then Mr. Kirtley and Mr. McClean, followed by Mr. Ashbrook and Mr. Colville, the whole forming an aisle for the bride and groom to stand in. The bride, in her simple white satin gown, which was characterized throughout by regal simplicity, looked a picture of loveliness. The bridal veil was dispensed with and her golden hair was dressed high. She carried a bunch of chrysanthemums. The groom, Mr. Charles Scott, looked handsome in conventional black. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scott passed down the aisle, the ushers following. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, to which only the near relatives and ushers and a few intimate friends were bidden. Mr. and Mrs. Scott left last night for New York City for a short stay. Ice, old shoes, and good wishes, were showered upon them. The bride's go-away gown was a brown cloth, tailor-made suit, trimmed with velvet and sable. Hat en suite.
