FAIRMOUNT, IND., Jan. 9. — The Big Four Window Glass Co., which removed from Spiceland, Ind., to this place made its first start here on Tuesday, October 4, and has been doing well ever since. They have two 6 pot furnaces, an increase of 2 pots over the Spiceland plant.

Fairmount is quite a glass centre by this time. We have the Fairmount Glass Co., with a 4-ring continuous tank, employing 16 blowers; the Dillon Fruit Jar and Bottle Co., with a 6-ring continuous tank, employing 24 men, and the King City Glass Works, with a 4-ring continuous tank, employing four men on battery jars and two presses making electric supplies. So you see we are quite given to tanks here.

John Rau manages the Fairmount Glass Co.'s plant; Alvin Scott, the Dillon plant, and Charles Tigner the King City plant, which makes a specialty of electrical supplies.

Natural gas is in abundance here.
