Recently the various branch managers and department managers of the H. W. Jolins-Manville Company held their annual convention at the headquarters of the company, 100 William Street, New York. This company has a reputation as probably the largest manufacturer of asbestos, magnesia and certain electrical products in the United States, if not in the world, having factories at Brooklyn, Milwaukee, West Milwaukee and Hartford, Conn., and branch offices and warerooms in Milwaukee, Chicago, St. Louis and many other cities. Representatives from the various branches and factories were present and the meeting was not only profitable but interesting to everyone present. As a fitting finale, the convention wound up with a banquet at the Waldorf-Astoria on Friday evening, February 1st.
