Formal announcement was made yesterday of the engagement of Henry M. Brookfield to Miss Louise Lord, daughter of Mrs. Samuel Lord of Orange, N. J.

Mr. Brookfield is a son of the late William and Mrs. Brookfield (Miss Kate Morgan) of 510 Madison Avenue. Frank and E. Morgan Brookfield are his brothers. He is a Harvard graduate, Class of '93, a member of the Union League, University, and other clubs and member of the Sons of the Revolution and the Society of
