SOUTH RIVER

Arrested for Stealing Pears

Alec Anowski and Alec Weinbecki were arraigned before Justice of the Peace Black for stealing pears from the orchard of Max Ploka near the South River power house. They were locked up over night. The men pass the orchard on their way to work at the Brookfield glass works in Old Bridge and Mr. Polka claims they climbed the trees and took several basketfulls.
