BROWNTOWN
GERMAN
HELD UP BY
MASKED MEN
BROWNTOWN, Oct. 14 — About 4 o'clock Saturday morning a German, known as "Jack" who boards at Mr. Edward Diegert's and who works nights at the Old Bridge glass works, was returning to his home when he was held up by two masked men on the road between Old Bridge and Browntown. His assailiants slashed his shirt and clothing with a knife and demanded money. Jack struck one of the men a sharp blow on the head. This knocked the assailant down and the German then made his escape.
