At the meeting last night of Garfield Post NO. 2, G.A.R., at Odd Fellows Hall the following officers were elected for the ensuing term: Commander, S. A. Newton; Senior Vice Commander, Wm. G. Allen; Junior Vice Commander, Samuel T. Jack; Chaplain, James D. Eaton; Historian, E. A. H. Beyland; Surgeon, J. W. James; Officer of the Day, Joseph Grunckemeyer; Officer of the Guard, T. M. Booth; Quartermaster, W. O. Ford; delegates to the department encampment, Eben Adams, James M. Kerr. The past commanders are also ex-officio delegates. They are James C. Michie, E. A. H. Beyland, and Daniel Ashworth; also Commander W. A. Newton, James D. Eaton, O. A. Reynolds, and Elwood Livesey.
