IMMENSE DAMAGE.


At this point the Ohio swelled three feet in twenty-four hours ending at 2 o'clock this morning when it had been rising at the rate of one inch per hour for six hours. At that time the gage indicated 57-feet 7 inches - the exact stage of water as on February 21 of last year.

IN COVINGTON.

Travel between Covington and the West End, West Covington, and Ludlow is cut off except by way of Lewisburg and the pike. Third street at the Willow Run Creek is covered with about five or six feet of water.

Hemingray's Glass-works had to shut down.
