INSULATOR COMPANY AT LE ROY

TO ERECT $200,000 ADDITION

Le Roy, Feb. 27.—The Lapp Insulator Company, Inc., here is about to double the capacity of its plant in Gilbert street. The plans will have been completed and contracts probably let by the end of this week. The new building will be 120 by 500 feet, the same size as the present one. It will be located a little north and west of the present building. At present this industry is employing 180 persons and when the new building is completed it will give employment to at least 300, it is said.

This industry was started here by John S. Lapp, the president of the company, in 1917. It started with about 25 or 30 employees and the force has been constantly increased. The plant has also been enlarged several times. The new building will cost between $200,000 and $225,000.
