The Hemingray Glass Co. Covington, Ky., are running three furnaces and will continue to work them to their full capacity to the end of the season. They have several desirable patterns in glass lamps, among them a novelty in the way of a side lamp for kitchen or factory purposes. Their decorated molasses cans are meeting with universal approbation, as they ought to do, and the demand for them is large. The shape is elegant and convenient, and the decorations are extremely rich and effective. Among them we notice flower decorations on various tinted grounds, as well as white, gold on blue, and a very handsome one on old gold. These decorations cannot be surpassed, if equaled, anywhere. All of the cans are provided with patent spring Britannia tops and they are highly ornamental articles for the table. The special feature worthy of particular mention in this concern is their decorating department, under the direction of some of the best artists in the country. A large and beautiful line of shades, both dome, cone and ring top, ornamented in the highest style of the decorative art, will be placed in the market for the fall trade. This firm are doing a good business, although there is a disposition on the part of jobbers to purchase cautiously and of such articles as there is a demand for.
