PRESSED AND BLOWN WARE PLANTS.

Below is a complete list of pressed and blown ware flint glass factories in the United States and Canada, active or temporarily out of operation or in course of erection. The list is corrected every Tuesday, plants not in operation having a * before them, those building being erected having ‡. In designating capacity of a plant, F is used for furnace, p for pots, thus: 1 F, 12 p means one furnace of 12 pots; C before tank means continuous tank.

The figures after the capacity designate the varieties of ware made: 1 being pressed ware, jellies, common tumblers and goblets; 2, blown ware, such as lamps, molasses jugs, etc.; 3, chimneys and lantern globes; 4, shades, globes, and paste mold ware, as gas or electric lighting goods, etc.; 5, thin blown tumblers, stemware and bar goods; 6, novelties in plain or colored glass. X indicates that the factory has a moldmaking shop.

More detailed information will gladly be given by addressing this office and we will be glad to receive notice of any errors in this list.
