A New Insulator. — The Central Electric Company have obtained patents on a new form of glass insulator, especially designed for heavy railroad work. It is estimated that this insulator will increase the insulation resistance of a line at least 100 per cent.

Researcher notes:The insulator illustrated is CD 144. It is interesting to note that the article claims that Bain assigned his patent rights to Central Electric. Perhaps he had an agreement to sell only through Central Electric. Hemingray was assigned rights to his patent when Bain transferred it to Hemingray in 1901.
