Glass Houses of the U. S. and Canada.
The demand for a complete directory of the glass houses of the United States and Canada which could be changed as occasion might require has long been felt by the trade, and THE COMMONER AND GLASSWORKER undertakes here to supply the want. The directory will be kept complete at all times and changed weekly. The * to the left of the name of any factory signifies that it is not in operation. For further directions as to the key to other figures and numbers, see note at head of each department.

NOTE — The figure before the letter F signifies number of furnaces. The figure 1 signifies that the factory makes pressed, blown ware, shades, or engraved goods. Figure 2 that the factory makes chimneys, lantern globes, & c. Figure 3 that bottles, vials, flasks, fruit jars & c., are the product. Figure 4 that they make prescription and druggist ware. Figure 5, novelties, colored or bar goods, & c., Figure 6, tumblers, lamps, goblets, & c.
