The clay shops of the twelve-kiln Bell Pottery Co. at Columbus, O., are under roof, and it is intended that the plant shall be in operation by the first of August. The "land deal" of the company includes a 140-acre tract which is subdivided into business and residence lots, and the Bell Company expects to make a fine profit out of the sale of these lots. Manager Rose hints that there will be twelve more kilns erected in 1904, but it is presumable that this will not be done then unless trade conditions demand it. |
