The United States Pottery at Wellsville, O., has been using gas up to the present time, but owing to the existing extreme shortage of gas has again gone back to coal and will be the only pottery in that vicinity that uses coal, although more will no doubt come to it if the shortage of gas continues.

The new plant of the Bell Pottery Co., of Columbus, O., is fast hearing completion. The plant will be devoted entirely to the manufacture of hotel and thin china.
