UNFORTUNATE GLASSWORKER

At the Muncie Hospital Where He May Die

From His Burns.

John McNally, aged 23 years, whose home is in Brooklyn, N. Y., and formerly a blower at Hemingray's works in this city was in Muncie over Sunday last, on his way to Marion. During the early evening McNally, in company with others sat a burning log near by the Muncie glass works. His companions had left him asleep on the ground when, in some unknown way, the clothing of McNally caught fire. In making the effort to get off his clothing his hands were severely burned and with assistance his clothing was torn off him, but not until he was severely burned about the breast and throat.

He was at once taken to the hospital, where the Drs. Whitney rendered every assistance to make the man comfortable. Upon examination it was discovered that the fire had burned the breast severely. The burns are of a character that the unfortunate young man may not recover, while at this writing, Wednesday there is a fair prospect. The physicians and nurse in attendance are sparing no skill to save McNally's life.

Local Union No. 91, A. F. G. W., have provided the means for the payment of their associate's care at the hospital, while nothing will be left undone to save their patient. - Muncie Tribune.
