THE LOCKE INSULATOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY, Victor, N. Y., has been awarded through Takata & Co., of Wall Street, New York, the contract for furnishing 16,000 insulators to the Tokio Tramways in Japan. These insulators are the 15-in. type, constructed in four pieces and of 60,000 volts capacity. They are to be furnished complete with steel pins. This order is particularly gratifying as the contracts for most of the equipment of this road went to European manufacturers.
