Will not Close Down.
A report has been sent out from Pittsburg stating that all the factories affiliated with the Western Flint-glass Bottle Association would at once shut down for an indefinite period because of an overproduction of stock and the inability to make satisfactory freight rates is denied by Messrs. Boldt and Hemingray, presidents of Muncie's two flint-glass houses, which are quoted as being among the factories to close, will run right along as usual. The Boldt factory has not been running for a few days on account of inability to get material, but they will start up again the first of this week. That none of the factories in this city will close will undoubtedly be good news to the men and the people in general. |
