The reception given by Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Johnson, at their beautiful home last evening marks an event which will be long remembered in society circles in this city. The affair was the most recherché of the present season and could not be surpassed in any particular. The evening was simply one continues [sic] continuous round of pleasure, nothing be left undone for the entertainment of the guests. The music was furnished by the Panden Bros., orchestra of Indianapolis, and the excellent floral decorations were under the supervision of Geo. F. Miller, the florist.

The refreshments were supervised by that eniment colores, Miss Kate Boyd, or Urbana, Ohio, assisted by the following gentlemen as waiters, Charles Shoecraft, Geroge Deams, Will Spam, Harry Adams and Guernsey Lawrence.
