FLINT MEN OF AFFAIRS. Complete List of the Delegates to the Great Convention Here. WEIGHTY PROBLEMS TO BE SOLVED. All in Readiness for a Pleasant and Profitable Gathering. All is now in readiness for the opening of the twentieth annual convention of the A. F. G. W. U. in this city Monday. The delegates began to arrive today and will all be present when President Smith calls the convention to order at 9 a. m. Monday. Councilman Frank Klumpp, of L. U. No. 5., will deliver the address of welcome and the response will be given by Vice President Frank Williams, of Baltimore. No work will be done Monday, the convention simply meeting to adjourn. The delegates will take in the sights of the town and the flight of the air ship at Schenley Park Monday, and Tuesday will buckle down to real work. Their responsibility is great, as a number of questions of vital importance will be settled at this gathering. The continuation of the unlimited move system in the pressed branch; the manufacturers' demand for abut a 10 per cent increase in the chimney moves; the abolition of the annual convention; and the election of the national officers by popular vote of the trade are some of the questions whose settlement will have great bearing on the future prosperity of the trade. But much of the work of the convention will consist of dry routine in committees, yet the officer's reports and the grievances presented by Locals will go far towards making matters interesting. All the arrangements for the entertainment of the guests are completed, although a great shifting of dates has occurred. As it now stands the programme is as follows. Picnic at Alliquippa Thursday, July 8; moonlight excursion up the Monongahela river Monday evening, July 12; banquet Wednesday evening, July 14. The boat will take on the excursionists at the Twenty-second street wharf, and the banquet will be held in Odd Fellows Hall.
