Pottery News · · The Locke Insulator Mfg. Co., of Victor, N. Y., has let contracts for an immense addition, to be erected immediately, to its main factory. The addition and its equipment will cost over $50,000. · · The New Lexington High Voltage Porcelain Co., of New Lexington, O., is erecting three new 25-ft kilns, installing new boilers and other new machinery. The plant is now of six kiln capacity. · · The U. S. Porcelain Co., of Findlay, O., has been organized and has leased the old plant of the Bell Pottery Co. J. S. Milligan, of the Bell Pottery Co., and W. H. Williams, formerly of the Electric Porcelain Co., of East Liverpool, O., are the promoters of the deal and will be at the head of the business. They expect to go into operation some time during the next 30 days. · · The Standard Porcelain Co., of New Cumberland, W. Va., in its new plant, is now turning out a very handsome line of goods. · · A very large brick addition has been completed at the factory of the Star Porcelain Co., of Trenton, N. J. A similar one will be erected early in spring. · · The Thomas China Co., of Lisbon, O., manufacturer of porcelain insulators, is installing a new filter press of 72 chambers capacity. · · |
