John J. Macken, 86
John J. Macken, 86, 3006 Devon Road, died Wednesday at home.
He was born in Muncie, attended St. Lawrence Catholic School and spent his life in the Muncie area.
Mr. Macken was employed more than 47 years with Owens-Illinois Glass Co. before retiring in 1965. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and a life member of Muncie Elks Lodge 245.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (Mrs. William) Elliott, Muncie; four grandchildren, Jay Elliott, Yorktown, Jim Elliott, Los Angeles, and Jeff Elliott and Jill Beyerl, both of Indianapolis; a brother, Binford Macken, Detroit, and three great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Calling at Meeks Mortuary is 4-8 p.m. today.
