William Jenkins, 82,

Dies; Funeral Tuesday

 

William Jenkins, 82, a moldmaker for more than 50 years, died at his home at 1007 E. 8th St, Saturday morning after a two-month illness.

Born in Louisville, Ky., Mr. Jen­kins came to Muncie in 1892. He was employed by the Hemingray Glass Company for over 50 years and later worked for the Owens-Illinois and Kimball glass firms. He was a member of St. Law­rence Church and Local 50, AFL Molders Union.

SURVIVING are the widow, Emma; one daughter, Mae at home; one son, William Jr., Columbus, O.; four brothers, John and Ross Jen­kins, both of Cincinnati, and Jo­seph and Charles Jenkins, both of Alton, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Ann Scully, also of Alton.

Funeral services will be con­ducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Church by the Very Rev. Msgr. Felix Seroczynski, and burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Meeks Mortuary after Monday noon.
