Erford Edwin "Pat" Keeler, 64, retired Coming Glass Works employee, dies in Florida. For many years, Mr. Keeler demonstrated the ancient art of lampworking at the Corning Glass Center.



Corning Glass Works enters the printing market with rubber printing plates made from photosensitive glass.


Corning Glass begins construction of a multi-million dollar factory at Blacksburg, Va., for the manufacture of glass piping.
