Eldon M. Williamson, Jr., manager of Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company's Liberty Mirror and Aircraft Sales, and John R. Prewitt, branch sales manager for Owens-Illinois, Inc., are killed in crash of Lake Central Airlines plane near Kenton, Ohio.

March

Year-end financial statements for Owens-Illinois, Inc., Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation, Brockway Glass Company, Inc., Consumers Glass Company, Ltd., and Corning Glass Works register gains.
