Speaking at the European Management Forum in Switzerland, Sir Alastair Pilkington, of Pilkington Bros., Ltd., suggests it is essential to consider large-scale revolutionary development work as a big risk to a company, that too much attention is paid by investment experts to one year's profits instead of to the health of the technical effort, which is a most important part of the true value of a company.
