Muncie Flint Notes.

MUNCIE, IND., Dec. 10. — All the glass factories here are still running to their fullest capacity and the boys are all making great preparations for their holiday stop. A great many of them will go to their former homes to spend Xmas.

John Kelly, a blower at Hemingray's is on the sick list but recovering.

Some of the gatherers at Hemingray's insulator department are becoming very popular in theatrical circles.

William Robinson of Ball's is on the sick list. — Robert Brady spent Sunday at Marion visiting his brother.

We notice that of late there is a gabby penny sheet printed here called the Morning News that is and has been trying to raise a disturbance between the flint glass and the green glass workers, two different organizations. They send their pinhead writer to see such and such a person and they tell of the large moves that are being made by factory No. 1 and slur at the workers in factory No. 2 as expert workmen not able to compete with the greens. Now, the green glass workers are entitled to all the chances in the world to run those press machines for making jars and the flint glass workers have not done anything to prevent their success, as we want all organized union men for such places. We want to work in harmony and it is only a matter of time for all to consolidate and work as union workmen should — work with one another and assist one another in all of the factories. One man in particular holds a position with Ball Bros. which enables him to use that Morning News in the hopes of getting the men quarreling among themselves. He has gone so far as to give it to the Associated Press, but he never will fool the workers for they are on their guard and it will only take a short time for them to condemn the paper that is the tool for the firm. They will see that it will be better for them to keep friends with the workmen than to make them enemies.

The Industry Dancing Club, composed of glass workers, have a great time here every Saturday night. Lizzie Burk is the champion cake walker. Tom Murry [sic] Murray has no hair but gets there just the same.   — MUNCIE.
