A. L. Dyke, of the Standard Porcelain Co., of New Cumberland, W. Va., has resigned as general manager owing to a disagreement among the members of the company, and has severed his connection with the company. The company is getting a new kiln into commission and is putting in some new machinery. The new additions will almost double the capacity of the clay department. It is rumored that Mr. Dyke may engage in the manufacture of porcelain on his own account.

The G. F. Brunt Porcelain Co., of East Liverpool, O., is erecting two new kilns at its works and is putting in some new machinery which will add to its present capacity over 40 per cent. Other additions in the way of warehouses and pressing rooms will be added also as soon as the weather permits.

The works of the Anderson Porcelain Co., of East Liverpool, were shut down for some days this month, owing to an extreme shortage of gas.

The Akron Smoking Pipe Co., of Mogadore, O., manufacturers of porcelain wiring tubes, is putting up a new addition and installing some new machinery for the manufacture of this class of goods.

The Electric Porcelain Co., of East Liverpool, O., is letting additional contracts to the one mentioned last month and will erect several new kilns at once. A contract has also been let for another 3-story brick building, which will be erected just as soon as the weather allows.

The New Lexington High Voltage Porcelain Co., of New Lexington, O., has let the contract for two additional kilns to S. S. Sprung, of Roseville, O., and as soon as the weather will permit, work will be started. The company is also considering some additions to the building of the plant.
