THE LOCKE INSULATOR MANUFACTURING COMPANY, of Victor, N. Y., has recently completed a large addition to its plant. Part of this addition is occupied with clay-working machinery. The rest is used as a drying room for insulators before they are placed into the kilns. The company is also building two more large kilns in addition to the three which it has had in operation since the new plant was completed last spring. Insulators of immense size and of improved and entirely original design are now being manufactured by this company. Insulators of as high insulating properties as ability to withstand 80,000 volts are shipped daily to the long-distance transmission lines in California and in other parts of the world. Besides these, large insulators, medium size and small insulators are also manufactured in large quantities. |
