Getting Ready for the Flints.
MUNCIE, IND., March 20. — Muncie is centrally located and we have the best of railroad facilities. The committee in charge of affairs intends to make the coming twenty-second annual convention of the A. F. G. W. U. one of the grandest demonstrations ever held in the "Magic City of the Gas Belt." The glassworkers of this city were very fortunate in securing the twenty-second annual convention, and the committee in charge, under the management of C. N. Edmonds, will leave nothing undone to give the delegates and their visiting friends to our city a grand reception. While we expect thousands of visitors on this occasion, our different committees are making preparations to entertain them. Our committees are chiefly composed of ex-delegates and there is no doubt but we can show our friends and delegates a royal good time. We are making an effort to secure several prominent speakers for the occasion, among whom is Gov. Tanner, of Illinois; Gov. Mount, of Indiana; and E. V. Debs. Our general committee is composed as follows: Local Union No. 2 — William Finley, Frank Duke, C. N. Edmonds, chairman, J. Fitzgibbons, A. Burkhart, John Creamer, Geo. McAvoy, Geo. Cahill. Local Union No. 23 — T. J. McElherron; Jas. A. Sullivan, secretary; John Buttler, Geo. Mathison, John Sullivan, Chas. Jenkins, Alf Meachem [sic] Meacham, Geo. Brunning. Local Union No. 91 — Jas. M.
