FIFTY FACTORY BOYS

Will Be Made to Attend School After

January 1 Says Truant Officer.

Truant Officer Streeter was in Hamilton township yesterday looking after violations of the truancy law. He found one boy who thought that he was safe as he did not know that that law had been changed making the legal age 15 instead of 14 years. The young man readily consented to return to school when he was made to understand the case.

The present truancy law makes it necessary for all boys under 15, whether they support their parents or not, to attend school for at least three months in the year. After January 1, Mr. Streeter will see that all such boys attend the required time.

There are at least forty or fifty boys working in Ball Brothers', Hemingray's and other factories that will come under this provision. Unless they obey the law trouble is bound to follow.
