A beautiful party was given yesterday afternoon, at the home of Mrs. J. Edgar Johnson, on East Washington street, in honor of Miss Maude Neely. For the occasion, the house was profusely decorated with smilax and Bride roses, making a charming effect. The dining room was unusually artistic. In the center was a large circular table, set for the bridal party of six, and in each of the four comers was a small square, table set for four. On the center of each table was a basket of Bride roses, an especially large basket being on the circular table, on which was also an abundance of smilax, daintily laid. From the chandelier to the center of each of the four tables was a trail of smilax which, with the lights, beautiful linen, china and cut glass made a charming effect. While here Mrs. Price, the cateress, served a seven-course luncheon, after which, on an immense tray, a large number of parcels daintily wrapped were brought in and placed in front of the guest of honor, who, in the presence of other guests, unwrapped them, and found a great number of beautiful and expensive pieces of china, none being duplicated. Those seated at the bride's table were Miss Maude Neely, Mrs. J. Edgar Johnson, Miss Reba Richey, Miss Emily Olcott, Miss Maude Studley and Miss Edith Cary, of Grand Rapids, Mich. At the other tables were Mrs. Hal Kimbrough, Mrs. Parker Sample, Miss Cora Emerson, Miss Carrie Andrews, Miss Corella Taylor, of Indianapolis, Miss Penny Turner, Miss Llewllyn Hemingray, Miss Florence McNaughton, Miss Helen Smith, Miss Linnie Coffeen, Mrs. Walter Andrews, Mrs. John H. Love of Brooklyn. N. Y.; Miss Bertha Smith, Miss Clara Koons, Miss Elizabeth Ellis, Miss Helen Hickman.
