Receptions.


The third and last dancing assembly of the season was given last evening in Shirks Hall. For the occasion the reception room was neatly decorated and comfortably furnished. In it the guests enjoyed themselves, resting and visiting between the dances. Mr. R. J. Hummel, the caterer, furnished delicious punch, which was served as the guests desired. The Montana Orchestra, of Indianapolis, rendered the music for the occasion, making the dances more than enjoyable. Roy Coffeen and his assistants were present to take care of the wraps and hats. With these the assembly was made a great success in every respect. Soon after 11 o’clock a fine luncheon was served. After the interval the dance was resumed, and continued until all the numbers on the program were completed.

The gowns worn by the ladies were beautiful, of the latest styles and colors.

Miss Thompson, of Louisville, Ky., was gowned in blue organdie over blue silk, trimmed in black.

Miss Meltzer, of Buffalo N. Y., wore a brocaded silk, with passementerie.

Miss Woodruff, of Buffalo N. Y., appeared in pink organdie over pink silk.

Miss Olcott, white organdie over green silk.

Mrs. Anthony, yellow brocaded satin, diamonds.

Mrs. Rich, black satin, white trimmings.

Mrs. Frank Ball, satin brocaded organdie, with real lace and riveted trimmings, diamonds.

Mrs. Hitchcock, black and white organdie, with black trimmings, diamonds.

Mrs. McNaughton, pink silk and organdie.

Miss Gray, white organdie over green silk.

Miss Armstrong, green silk, carried pink roses.

Miss Ellis, white organdie.

Mrs. Evans, yellow silk, white roses.

Miss Anthony, black silk, red roses.

Mrs. George Ball, white silk, with pink trimmings, diamonds.

Miss Koons, black satin, black gloves.

Mrs. Bower, black silk.
