FOUND DEAD
Remains of Peter Mangdon Discovered
Laying in a Ditch
Peter Mangdon, whose mind was deranged by excessive drink, and who escaped from his boarding house on Shipley street yesterday morning, at an early hour, as reported in The News, was found at daylight yesterday morning at 4 o'clock cold in death, not two squares from his home.
The find was made by Joseph Harris, an employe of the Hemingray Glass Factory, as he was coming home from work. The man's body was lying in a ditch, where he is believed to have fallen. prostrated from running.
Captain Turner, of the police force, was notified, and in thirty minutes had the body at the Potter & Moffett Morgue, where it was prepared and taken to Marion, where the wife of the decreased resides. Joseph Cahill, Harry Hoag and Major Charles Luckner accompanied the remains, the deceased being a member of the Bottle Blowers' Association, and this order will conduct the funeral.
