FOR SWEET CHARITY

LaPearls Circus as a Benefit For the

Kindergarten.

As the day of appearance of the La Pearl circus approaches, so the interest and enthusiasm increases. As is well known the circus is given for the benefit of the Muncie Kindergarten, a cause that is worthy and just.

The LaPearl circus, although not as large as some, is without a doubt one of the greatest shows traveling. On June 8, the date set, Muncie people will be given an opportunity to witness a show that will surely please and entertain every one, and at the same time aid in the cause of sweet charity. Everything from the big stock cars to the smallest property has been repaired and repainted during the winter and placed in excellent trim for pleasing the public eye.

While Mr. La Pearl’s circus retains many of the old popular circus features, such as the hippodrome races, the trapeze work, etc., the program introduces many new features, especially is this so in the amateur part of the program. This part promises to be novel and entertaining, and is to be given by the best of home talent in truly professional style. The several committees are diligently at work and should meet with the aid and encouragement of every citizen interested in this grand project. The committees are as follows:

Program — Mrs. John Lawrence Smith, Mrs. Durham, Mrs. John Kirby, Mrs. William Little, Miss Streeter and Miss Merriman.

Booths — Mrs. Frank B. Nickey, lemonade, Dante class, coffee and sandwiches; Mrs. Trent and Mrs. Elmer Whitely, peanuts and popcorn.

Parade — Mrs. Ryan and Mrs. Little.

Deposition of Tickets — Mr. Thomas Ryan, Mr. C. M. Rich, Mr. Wagner, Mrs. Will Marsh and Mrs. Hart, assisted by Messrs. Frank Ball, C. H. Over, Ralph Hemingray, Ross J. Beatty, Charles Boldt, Elmer Whitely, R. M. Ball, John L. Smith, Edward Tuhey, Frank Thrall, John Kennedy, C. D. Hyde, Milton Gray, John W. Port, John Stevens, Charles Baldwin, C. M. Kimbrough, Rev. William Schmidt, This also forms the executive committee of which Mrs. Beatty is chairman. Mr. Clarence Carson is authority for the statement that the LaPearl circus band is one of the finest with any circus in America. Mr. Carson knows whereof he speaks.
