MR. AND MRS. T. A. NEELY of East Main street, entertained the members of the What Next club last night in a charming manner, the feature being as elaborate dinner in eight courses served at 7. After the banquet, the gentlemen adjourned to the billiard parlor below, and as they left the dining room each was given a small slip of paper bearing the name one of one of the ladies present, with a request that he write a complete description of the costume worn by the lady named on the paper, and upon returning read it to the party. A half hour's time was consumed, and the fruits of the masculine work caused the ladies to fairly scream with laughter at the descriptions, which were burlesques and very comical. Mr. Rose was awarded the prize for the most accurate description. After the reading of the descriptions, the part enjoyed the game of billiards until late. The banquet table was decorated with pink roses, and silk decorations of the same hue. The party consisted of the following: Messrs. and Mesdames H. H. Highlands, G. F. McCulloch, T. F. Rose, Edward Olcott, C. M. Turner, Will Marsh, W. M. Patterson, G. O. Cromwell, F. C. Ball and Robert Hemingray, and Mrs. Harriet Johnston and J.M. Maring.
