Miss Hudie Smith entertained a select few of her friends last night at Franklin's hall at a cake walk and chafing dish party. The sisters and brother-in-law of the hostess, Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Franklin, were chaperones, and the following young people made up the party: Misses Edna Boyce, Mayme Johnson, Agnes Howe, Sarah Kirby, Reba Coons, Edna Boyce, Grace Johnson and Miss Townley of Indianapolis, Walter Howe, Karl Oesterle, Lloyd and Frank Kimbrough, Delbert Galliher, Garth Martin, Ray Johnson, Robert Lytle and Robert Hemingray. Music was furnished by Robbins Brothers' orchestra, and dancing and other amusements made a happy time for all until near the midnight hour. The cake walk contest was won by Walter Howe and Miss Smith, but during the contest the judges devoured the prize.
