Pleasing Event Given at Shirk's Hall Last

Evening

The dance given last evening in Shirk's hall, by a number of young men under the management of Messrs. Robert Walker and Robert Williams, was a decided success in every way. The twenty-five couples present danced to the strains of sweet music until a late hour, and all departed, having spent a most delightful evening. The following ladies acted as chaperones: Mesdames Suzane Thomas, Edward M. Olcott, John Kirby, Robert Hemingray, and W. L. Little. Those present were: Miss Maud Neely, Florence McNaughton, Clara Gill, Sarah Gill, Edith Kirby, Isabella Preston, Carroll Hemingray, Fannie Turner, Grace Johnson, Louise Anthony, Bessie Ellis, Eva Winchester, Emma Kingsbury, Miss Weaver, of Dayton, Ohio, Pearl Johnson of Ashtabula, Ohio, Demia Townley, Indianapolis, Isabella Woodworth of Buffalo, N. Y. and Grace Thorington of Detroit. Messrs. Barnett, Dr. Wallace, Ray Johnson, Leo Ganter, Elliott Willson, John Sprowl, Walter McNaughton, John McNaughton, Albert Richey, J.
