The glorious Fourth is once more with us, but for the first time in many years it is very improper to attempt any kind of an outdoor demonstration, but with the dawn of day, tomorrow, old glory should be unfurled and the eagle permitted to scream with all his vengeance, as we have reason to celebrate, twice over, this season. Muncie promises to furnish her part of the noise and amusement tomorrow and next day.

All arrangements have been completed for the big events that are to begin at the fair ground early tomorrow morning, and continue for two days. The Elwood races closed yesterday and nearly the whole string of fast ones will be here to compete for the $1,500 bag of purses. This will insure a big list of entries, and some fast sport in this line. L L D, who won the free for all pace at Elwood will be in the string, and Joe Porter, who has been on the grounds for some time, will be entered in this event.

In the running races Miss Dad, who beat Lady Hunt last year, will be in the string of runners, and there will be some fine jumpers here from the Anderson course, as well as Elwood. Sunrising, of Dunkirk, will be in these part of the races also, and they promise to be the best ever seen in Muncie. In the Gentleman's drive, C. H. Dal, owned by Daily & Neely, and M. S. Claypool's Brazza and others will be entered for the prizes, and J C. Greisheimer's little pacer will go in the 2:35 race.

The program for Monday will be as follows:

9:00 a.m. — One mile bicycle race, open, purse, $75 cash.

9:30 a.m. — Two mile bicycle, handicap, purse $75 cash and prizes.

10:00 a.m. — One mile bicycle race, Delaware county, purse $75 cash and prizes.
